Unlike ordinary umeshu, or plum liquor, our plums are soaked in Japanese sake. Locally cultivated plums are soaked in sake made with ultra-soft water; the combination creates a premium plum sake with a rich and full taste. It is easy to drink even for people who don’t care for Japanese sake. As it uses fructose, or fruit sugar, calorie is modest. Drinking it on the rocks is recommended.
